Cigarette Lighter Fuse Adapter Harness
Many GM passenger vehicles manufactured through 1981 did not have a fuse protecting the cigarette lighter feed. This wasnâ„¢t much of a concern when our classic cars were new and things like cell phones and 12 volt GPS units didnâ„¢t exist, but since many owners now rely on these devices (And their tendency to keep this circuit live for hours at a time when charging.) the addition of a fuse could be great peace of mind.
The cigarette lighter fuse adapter includes a pre-assembled pigtail with factory connectors for both types of GM lighter sockets. Simply cut off the factory lighter connector, crimp on the supplied female terminal and plug into the adapter. The adapter uses connectors and terminals that would have been available from 1967 - 1981, so it makes for a Å“period correct modification.
