New factory style dash tachometer for your 1971 - 1972 Chevelle. Correct White colored numbers with 6500 - 7000 redline. Fonts and spacing on dials are spot on. Includes back side steel face plate support. Round Red oil light lens filter in the bottom. This all new tachometer is made for stock points or stock HEI ignition systems.
By far the best tachometer on the market. Replaces original GM Part # 5657407.
From the factory this 6500 redline version was not available in 1972. But it will fit and work great in all 1971 - 1972 models with the optional tach and mechanical round gauge package option.

YOU WILL NEED TO BUY FROM THE MANUFACTURE OF YOUR IGNITION SYSTEM AN ADAPTER TO LOWER THE VOLTAGE TO THE GM FACTORY VOLTAGE. THESE SYSTEMS GENERATES HIGHER OUTPUT VOLTAGE TO THE TACH LEAD THAN WHAT A FACTORY GM. DOUBLE CHECK AND MAKE SURE THIS IS THE ONE YOU NEED AND WANT AS ELECTRICAL GAUGES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.
