1970 - 1972 Nova Automatic Transmission Swivel and Rod Lockout Linkage Set

This is the linkage that goes from the steering column arm on the bottom of the steering column in the engine compartment. The side rod attaches to the steering column lower arm that attaches to the shaft assembly that pivots on your sub frame. The backdrive linkage prevents you from starting a car when the transmission is in gear. This mechanical linkage set-up also engages the reverse backup lights. The only way the steering column locks the transmission and allows the reverse lights to function. It is used for cars with floor shift automatic or column shift automatic. Spring TRA-629A (Sold Separately) puts pressure on swivel to frame and insulator TRA-629B (Sold Separately) mounts on frame bracket (Not included) and work in conjunction with the swivel and rod assembly (Included).
